America has voted and Chris was sent home. I have to admit I disagree with America this time. I thought Chris was a much better singer and should have won it all, but America has voted and I have a feeling there are a lot of unhappy people. Personally, I thought these two should have been the final two so that Jessica and I could fist fight over who should win. But for all those Chris fans out there, WHY DIDN'T YOU VOTE???? And for all those Katharine fans out there, THANKS FOR VOTING!!!!

There is not enough time or space in the world for me to state how many idiots I truly know are in America now. What is up with all the non-talented people getting to pick who stays and who goes. I have never, and I mean NEVER been as disappointed in this show as I was tonight. Although I know my one little TV set will not make that much of a difference, I am now signing off of American Idol, because the true reason (talent) that it started to be about is truly gone. I hope Katharine's dad saves up enough tears so that when his daughter hits the real world he can cry her a river and tell her to get over it. It amazes me that someone in the last two weeks of the FINALS can forget their words and do a fancy choreography and get away with staying -- this isn't the great dance off show. Oh well, I now realize what other Americans have not come to yet and that is this show is no longer about talent, it definitely takes nothing more than standing there moving your lips and making things upo as you go along. The look on Simon's face said it all - he couldn't believe it either -- Sheryl
See, this is exactly why I quit watching AI. Anyway, I was waiting for HOUSE to come on and I saw the replays of all the contestants at the end of the show. Bethany and I both thought Katherine was gone for sure, but nope...she's sucked more than anyone I've ever seen this late in the game and she still made it through. And as far as the alleged voting goes, I think we all know that's rigged. The only "voting" that goes on every week is the producers' vote as to who gets the cut. Maybe I'm being to conspiracy theoryish, but I've seen how this thing works from the inside. It's all about ratings. Why do you think it's the most popular show on TV?
