Memorial Day Fun

Memorial Day was fun for Jess and I. We had a great time at the Honeycutt's home yesterday. I played whiffle ball and I got to be in a cool parade. Lots of fun. Then today, Jess went shopping at Kohls and I did some yard work. I am really starting to like doing yard work. Anyways, we saw a bunch of steak commercials, so we saw it as a sign from God to go to O Charley's and eat. Good times. Then I went home and ate popcorn. I wasn't that hungry, but today is Memorial Day and I must celebrate by eating something American...like popcorn. Have a great week.

X-MEN 3

Absolutely fantastic! This movie is great. Make sure you take some time to see it this weekend. And when you do make sure you wait until after the credits...trust me you will not regret it. Anyways, Jess and I enjoyed this movie and I hope that you all will too.

Jessica wants to buy Leo a toothbrush. I'd like to hear your opinion on a dog toothbrush. Is it silly or a great invention? I just don't think it's going to make his breath smell any better!

Thank you America

I just want to say thank you to America for voting for crazy seizure guy. Hey, he's better than Katharine right??? So at first I was bummed about Chris getting voted off but after hearing the songs that were written for the finalists last night Jeremy brought up a very good point...Chris really did win cause now he will have freedome to produce quality music, not cheesy, poppy stuff like poor Taylor will probably be forced to record. Has anyone heard the new Bo Bice song??? He totally sold out! So I guess for Chris' sake I should say thank you to the 12 year old girls that for weeks would squeal "Ohmygosh I have to totally vote for Kat b/c she is like totally awesome and pretty!" (No offense to 12 year olds.) Now that this dumb show is over I can start to write about something meaningful. Don't ask me what that is cause I don't know.

If Katharine wins this dang competition...

To quote Kat's terrible song choice "No no, no no no, I said no no, you're not the one for me." Ugh, she grates on my nerves!! Did anyone notice the continued stripperish qualities as she sang what used to be the seemingly wholesome song, Over the Rainbow? She is even getting on Jeremy's nerves and he was caught up in the (sorry, I hate this term) "Kat Scratch Fever"! I am currently trying to call in vote for Taylor. I like his vocals, love his sound, hate to watch him. Is it just me or does it look like he is having a seizure? But at least he is passionate and authentic and I would actually listen to a CD by him. More to say tomorrow after the results show. (That is if I don't shoot my T.V. after watching Ryan Seacrest draw out two hours to announce one winner.) Why do I watch this show?????

Back to Sports

Cornerstone's Worship Band played at Crosby's Day at Sticker's Grove this weekend and Jess has some cool pictures from that. But, until she downloads them, I thought I would just say a few words about the Cincinnati Reds. I'm just so happy for Cincy to get such a good pick up this offseason. Bronson Arroyo has been absolutely awesome! He now has six wins and two losses with a league leading 2.29 ERA. He pitched 7 innings last night with only 1 earned run. Absolutely great. Then you couple that pitching with Aaron Harang who is tied for fourth in strikeouts with 67. His last outing he pitched 8 innings with only 1 earned run off of 5 hits. THEN you add Todd Coffey who quite possibly could be the best reliever in the National League with 22 appearances and a whopping ERA of 0.70! And that's just the pitching. With Griffey back, Dunn hitting 16 home runs (on pace for another 40+ season), and Kearns back to form, the Reds should be a contender this season. That's all for now...shout out to all those reds fans out there. Sorry to jinx them!

Happy Anniversary

I just would like to take this time to say Happy Anniversary to the most beautiful and wonderful woman I have ever met. It's been a great four years. Thanks for putting up with my stupid jokes, disgusting behavior, and bad habits. You're awesome! Love ya babe...

Cool Picture of the Day

Which person is real? Better question: Which beer is real? This was drawn on the sidewalk with chalk!

Sucks to be the President

I was reading blogs this evening and I came across the President's approval rating. I don't understand how they determine his ratings. I've never been called or approached to be surveyed. Who do they survey? Can it be broken into age brackets, a tax bracket, or a demographic bracket? I'm curious on who's taking these surveys. I'm just glad I don't have approval ratings! I wonder how I would do...

Anyways, not much new happening our way. It's been constantly raining, so I haven't mowed in like two weeks. Leo had a flipping huge tick on him last night. I'm pretty sure that thing had been feeding for a couple days. I usually catch them in time. This thing was like a foot long!

Here's a pic of a tick with a full belly...like Leo's tick. We named him george. That's all for now.

Elliot the Goat

Ok, so we do a good job of keeping everyone updated on American Idol. I know many of you are not Katharine McPhee fans and many are upset about Chris being voted off...but please America...do not vote for the goat. Elliot may sound ok, but do you really want to buy cd's with a picture of a goat on it? Just for kicks here are a couple more comparisons...

And Taylor is a cross between George Clooney and Jay Leno...

That's all for now. Have a great week!!!

Leonardo Ramirez O'Marley Cox

Our beautiful dog got caught tearing up our dahlias again. So, we took him to a psychologist, Dr. Jim Pepper. He suggested Ritalin and now this is what he looks like...

Ok, not really, but if you believe I took my dog to Dr. Pepper you really need help. Anyways, he did tear up our dahlias and now Jess is reading some magazine about training Golden Retrievers. Good luck!

Police are Our Friends!

Ok class, what do you do if you see one of these cars driving on the interstate? That's right class, you freak out, merge into the left lane, slow down 10 miles UNDER the speed limit, and then hands at 10 and 2! Evidently, that's what some folks think in Cincinnati. Today, on my way to Good Sam, I came across a Cincinnati Cruiser going about 60 mph. So, everyone in the left lane thought they should slow down to 55, so that they don't pass him. Just in case any of my readers are confused, policemen and women are our friends. They will not pull you over for passing them in the left lane going the speed limit. If their lights are on or if they have someone pulled over, you are supposed to slow down, but not if they are going for a little stroll on their way to Dunkin Donuts in North Bend. Actually, they are SUPPOSED to pull you over for dinking around in the left lane! And I wish he would have done just that to the idiot van in front of me. Ok, I feel better, but I need a commitment from all of my fellow bloggers that you will do the right thing and maintain a constant conservative speed and pass good ole smokie...trust me this is for the betterment of society.

Thanks,

Jeremy

I don't understand

If you haven't read the previous post yet please do. I think it proves that my husband as well as most of America is on crack. Come on....Chris leaving American Idol before Katharine (who by the way forgot her words and acted a little to much on the stripperish side the past two weeks, as evidenced by the picture below)!?!? At least Jeremy came to his senses and admitted that Chris was better than her. I am truly disappointed. You let me down America - or at least all of you who voted for Katharine.

Alas Katharine is safe and Chris goes home

America has voted and Chris was sent home. I have to admit I disagree with America this time. I thought Chris was a much better singer and should have won it all, but America has voted and I have a feeling there are a lot of unhappy people. Personally, I thought these two should have been the final two so that Jessica and I could fist fight over who should win. But for all those Chris fans out there, WHY DIDN'T YOU VOTE???? And for all those Katharine fans out there, THANKS FOR VOTING!!!!

Happy Birthday Jessica

Jessica turned 26 today. We celebrated by going to Texas Roadhouse...the greatest place on earth. Jess got a free onion blossom and they made her stand up and everyone yelled YEEEHAW! Fun times. Then we went home to wait for 24 to come on and eat left over ice cream cake. Yesterday we officially celebrated with our small group. We ate hankypanks, taco dip, and french onion dip. I reaked afterwards.

I had more pictures, but I am the worst photographer ever and the only one that turned out well was a picture of Amberlee...which is cool cause Amberlee ROCKS! I had a cute one of Justin and AJ on the couch...but it DIDN'T TURN OUT! Oh well. Guess you'll just have to take my word for it.

A good Saturday

Today Jeremy and I had a pretty good day. It was a day off for both of us which is always a good day! (Especially for me - Let's just say I had a rough week at work. Prayers would be great.) We went shopping in Northern Kentucky today for my birthday and last night we saw Mission Impossible III. It was awesome! Not much else going on. We haven't posted any pics of the babies in a while, so here are some recent ones.

Leo got a bath today, he really likes his baths and is usually very well behaved for them. He likes being squeaky clean.

Here is Belle in what seems to be a rare moment of happiness. On second thought, maybe she is really trying to plot her escape. Hhmmm....

Due to the overwhelming amount of requests...

Jeremy is back and is going to talk sports with you all. I went golfing today. Which was fun. I went to Robin's Nest par 3 course. BJ, Jon the Pilot, and I had rain checks for The Farm and we were going to utilize those and have an afternoon...only to find out that the reason we were given rain checks is because they were shutting down! That's right folks, no more golf course at The Farm. Oh well, we had fun. And the youth minister from Bright joined us. He kicked our butts.

Ok, Jess is bugging me to put something on here about flowers and girly stuff. So, here are a few pics from our newly renovated and then destroyed by Leo and then renovated garden.

This is an upclose picture of our rhododendron bush. It's West Virginia's state flower
This is an upclose picture of our freesia hanging basket. This is my favorite.

This is a picure of the whole thing. I still haven't planted grass :-) Tomorrow I will.

And these are Jess' geraniums and petunias that Leo and I ruined :-). Darn garlic spray was supposed to keep Leo out of the flowers! And I think that coupled with the other sprays I sprayed to keep him out of the flowers made some kind of chemical reaction to kill them.

One more thing

One more thing....can anyone out there tell me why oh why did Kaharine McPhee feel the need to sing her entire song on her knees? Freaky. (Although not freaky enough for Jeremy who is voting for her right now.)

An end to the boredom

I'm back and putting an end to the boringness that has been our blog. Jeremy tried to overtake it with boring sports stuff but no more. I am putting my foot down. Now, on to something more exciting..... I won a radio contest tonight! It's this thing called guess what's in Holly's purse, where the d.j. gives clues to something random that she has. Her first clue was green grasshopper and I thought, a kids menu from Applebee's b/c that is a kid's drink they have. Then she gave clue #2 which was "Munch, Munch" and I knew it had to be Applebee's. Jeremy told me to call in thinking that I wouldn't so I did. I didn't think I would get through and I did and I won. My prize is kinda lame, some prize package with a t-shirt, blockbuster gift card and key chain that I have to drive all the way down town to receive but the cool thing is that I am entered in a drawing for a vacation. So that is the exciting thing going on with us right now. So, I guess maybe that whole explanation was boring, but which would you rather have...sports news or my exciting life? Maybe I don't want to know the answer to that question.
