Good news

Hey everybody - guess what?!? I have two job interviews next week!! They are both for the same company (Covenant Health) which is the same company that the day care I am working at is affiliated with so if I'm hired I don't have to go through new employer red tape. They are at two different places but both of them are called Peninsula, one is more of a family therapist position ( but it might be for residential patients - scary) and one is working with intensive needs people through an outpatient center. One is Monday at 4:00 and the other is next Wed. at 1:00 so pray that it goes well and I don't say anything stupid! By the way, Sheryl and Katelyn are coming tomorrow night! We are very excited to see them. I'll let you guys know how the interviews go!

Sunday Happenings

Today Jessica and I had a very good relaxing day. After a baby dedication and potluck lunch afterwards, Jess and I spent time laying around the house and enjoying the warm beautiful Tennessee weather. I LOVE TENNESSEE! Anyways, I hope you all had a great weekend.

Lost was great!

This is for all of you fellow Lost fans - I just watched this week's episode and it was awesome. I've been kind of disappointed with Lost lately, it just wasn't grabbing me anymore but a lot happened in this episode that was very interesting. We finally found out how John got in the wheel chair, that was incredible, I totally wasn't expecting that. And the end, w/his dad sitting gagged in the chair, well how awesome was that?! Just wanted to share and see what you guys thought of the episode and where you think it will go from here.

This guy is WHACK!

Fun times with our friends part three

If you want to read these posts in order scroll down to Fun times with our friends part one - On Sunday we went to church and then came back to the house for lunch. We played more Wii and just hung out. It was so hard to see everyone go but we're gonna see them in three weeks when we go up to Cincy to see The Lion King. I'm really glad we got to spend time together, I missed my friends.

This is A.J. playing golf on the Wii. I think he thought that the sunglasses made him play better but I don't know.

These are the crazy boys. When they get together things tend to get out of control but they had fun.

This is the girls. I love them.

This is all of us together in our living room right before they left. We have all been friends for like four years and this is the first picture we have ever gotten with all of us at the same time.

Fun times with our friends part two

Mindy and A.J. got here Friday night and we all stayed up really late and got up really early to go shopping in Pigeon Forge some more. But like Mindy said "You can always sleep later, we only have this weekend to see each other". She was right b/c we all still had a blast even though we were tired. Everyone was teasing us the whole weekend about living in hickville and Friday morning proved they were right. We got up to go shopping and were headed up the road leading out of our house and the neighbor's cows had gotten out and blocked the road! I just about died laughing and I don't think they will ever let us live it down. We also walked around Gatlinburg a little and that was fun. However, Mindy is six months pregnant and probably was on her feet too long. 10 hours of shopping is a lot for even non-prego people! She was a trooper though.

These are the cows. I guess we really do live in the sticks.

This is Mindy and A.J. and little Alan Junior Junior. She's so cute pregnant!

Fun times with our friends Part One

Blogger won't let me post a bunch of pictures at once so our awesome weekend with Justin, Bethany, Mindy, and A.J. is going to be broken up into segments. Justin and Bethany got here Thursday afternoon and introduced us to the Nintendo Wii. Oh my flipping goodness, it was so much fun. You just have to experience it to understand. On Friday we got up early and went shopping in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. That was fun. We also got to witness Justin and Bethany get tatoos, sorry no pics of it, and now I've decided that I really want a Jesus fish on my foot like Bethany's. It didnt look like it hurt too bad. That evening we came back to the house and ate dinner and then went to Marble Slab. We had a lot of fun and we were able to pick up right where we left off. It was awesome.

This is Justin and Jeremy at Marble Slab, dang, that was some good ice cream

Three more days!

Guess what - Only three more days before Justin and Bethany arrive and only four more days until Mindy and A.J. get here. We are so very very excited. We miss our friends so much. We can't wait to catch up, hang out, and play games. We are very thankful for the friends we have made in Knoxville but with all these guys coming, it's just gonna feel like a breath of fresh air. Mindy is pregnant now and I haven't seen her since she started showing. Wow - that's gonna be weird.
This was taken of me and Jeremy and Justin and Bethany at family camp.

The Former Wild and Wonderful

West Virginia changed their motto! It used to be "Wild and Wonderful West Virginia." Now, it is "West Virginia: Open for Business." What in the world? So, Jess and I just got back from WV. The memorial service for her biological father went well. Jessica's brother in law had some really bad chest pains, so her sister was preoccupied this weekend. Keep him in your thoughts if you will. Anyways, I attempted to help Jessica's brother chop wood. I'm such a wuss. I haven't chopped wood in forever. He totally chopped like 10 stumps in about four hours and I chopped one and a half in two days! Her brother got a new dog and so Leo had a playmate. They had a blast! We forgot our camera...so I don't have pics. Sorry. Other then that, it was a pretty uneventful weekend. Happy Birthday Justin!

Boy Am I Lucky!

I (Jeremy) had a run in with the Knoxville Police this morning. I was pulled over for doing 40 in a 30 mph zone. I believe its an unmarked 30 by the way. Anyways, he also informed me that my tags, license and insurance were all void since I have lived here for 3 months. I had 30 days to switch over my tags, license, and insurance. Woops. So, I told him I was the new pastor of the church he pulled me over at and that I was new to the area and the rules. I don't think he believed that I was the pastor cause another squad car came down and pulled around the parking lot. Anyways, he came back, asked again if I was the pastor at the church, gave me my license, told me to get my tags and license changed, and then told me to have a nice day. Boy was I lucky! Needless to say, Jess is working today, so tomorrow we are getting everything switched over.

Nope not Leo. Jessica is sleeping. And as I check the time its Monday at 9:50pm. If you know us, you know we are watching 24...or at least I thought WE were. I guess she's just tired from a long day at work. BUT SHE FELL ASLEEP IN THE MIDDLE OF 24! Are you kidding me? HA!
I just had to blog about it. AND WHAT AN EPISODE! How is anyone going to know about where Gredenko is??? What the snap????

LOCKED OUT!

Yesterday, I had my whole day planned out. They layed carpet in my office, so I was going to work from home till about 11, then head out to the nursing home to do some visits, and then head over to the church to do some "manuel" labor. Well, I got a call from Byron (our resident contractor) who gave me some updates and I was letting him know when I was going to be by to help. So, as I am talking to him, I start heading out the door and I locked it and...well you know the rest. I locked myself out, with no keys, no wallet, no wife to save me (Jess is still in WV)...nothing. Just my cell phone...which luckily I was talking on when I left. So, I made some calls and my landlords grandson came over and unlocked the house for me. I am such a dork! Needless to say, I spent 1 1/2 hours outside with Leo and the neighborhood dogs enjoying our sunny 65 degree weather. So, I guess it wasn't all bad. It could have been raining and I could have left my cell phone inside as well. That would have been much worse. Anyways, I am a dope...but most of you already know that.
