On the road again

We will be heading out for West Virginia to visit family on Thursday morning and we will be back Saturday evening. It will be very nice to have a couple days off of work. Please pray that we have a safe trip. Maybe when we get back we will have a post about my mom's cat beating up Leo since he seems to be a wimp.

March Madness

Once again, Jeremy and I did basketball brackets this year and if I won he was supposed to cook me a great dinner for once. I don't know what the heck is up with the teams this year but both of our final fours are totally out so we totaled up the points last night (more points were given for sweet sixteen and elite eight). Somehow, along the way, Jeremy beat me even though the entire time it really looked like I was beating him (Darn you UCONN!!!!!) So now Jeremy is thinking of something that I have to do for him since he won. Any suggestions? Go easy on me here. Anways, just wanted to complain about the craziness of the basketball season.

In defense

In response to my husband's earlier post, and in defensive of our dog, I would just like to say that Leo is a lover, not a fighter. I like him better that way.

My Dog is a Wimp!

That's right, my dog (Jeremy's dog) is a wimp. That's him being attacked by Oreo a Rat Terrier. He's also been beat up by a poodle, a cat, a miniture pincher, and a 15 year old deaf, blind, and gimp husky. He's also been beat up by other bigger dogs like our neighbor's dalmation and the husky up the street. I pretty much can't let him play with other dogs cause he'll get beat up. Should I worry about this? Have I failed as a father? Ok, actually I just love this picture of Oreo. He's a freak.

Oh the Irony

So our last post was about being excited for spring and today is the second official day of the season! Yeah, fun times. Oh wait.....we got four stinkin inches of snow. Schools across the tri-state were closed so I (Jessica) had a very slow, unproductive day at work. Our flowers are probably doomed and I would love to see some warm weather about now. On the upside we did take Leo for a run through the white stuff and I think he enjoyed himself and it was fun watching him play. Hopefully spring is on the way soon and warm weather will come right along with it. Here are some pics of Leo livin it up in the snow.

Waiting for Spring

We are eagerly anticipating the arrival of spring. We have both been feeling kind of down lately so hopefully the arrival of a brighter season can lift our spirits. Back in the fall we attempted for the first time to plant flowers. We chose tulips (Jessica's favorite) and daffodils that would bloom in the spring. The only problem is that neither of us have a clue when it comes to gardening. We posted some pics of our hopeful little flowers. If any of you have any suggestions let us know. This is kind of a grown up endeavor to actually make something grow so we'll see how it goes. Our main concern is that Leo, as cute as he is, is not so bright sometimes and he has laid on our bush that we planted, all winter and has pretty much demolished it (see picture below). We just hope that he can manage to not eat or trample the flowers. I guess what I am getting at is that we are both looking forward to spring for lots of reasons. 1. To lift our spirits. 2. To get outside more. 3. To see if our poor flowers survive. 4. Spring is kind of new beginnings for lots of things and I think that we need to feel refreshed and regroup in so many areas. We hope you all are doing well.

Our first blog

We thought for our first blog we should post a picture of our babies! Here is Leo the Dog

And here's a picture of Belle. We apologize for her inappropriateness. She thought it was a different kind of website.

We are really bad at staying in touch with people. So, hopefully this can be a way we can keep in touch with those we care about. We'll type more later.
